Description
Cinnamon Sticks Aquarium Use has a long history both as a spice and as a medicine. It is the brown bark of the cinnamon tree, which is available in its dried tubular form known as a quill or as ground powder. They have also been used by breeders both for prevention of diseases and promotion of healing in sick or injured fishes.
Cinnamon has similar properties to Indian Almond (Catappa) bark, though it is milder and therefore more of them can be used in an aquarium at any time.

Please boil cinnamon sticks for approximately 20mins in hot water before use in fish / shrimp tanks .

They are ideal for use as shelters for baby shrimps or baby cat fishes. Not only do they provide hiding places, but are decorative and at the same time mildly fungicidal and anti-bacterial, which is great for sensitive fries and shrimp-lets. Cinnamon sticks also contain holes which are a great hiding place for shrimps and baby shrimps . The natural bark brown color also complements any plants and driftwood found in the tank.
